Tongue Tied

Recently, I’ve been attending a church with a certain “ethnic flair” to it that is different from what I grew up with. The people are fantastically nice, and they couldn’t be warmer. Tonight at a meeting we began discussing the prospect of a bake sale. (Something many churches have, not unusual.)
What makes this bake sale unique is the number syllables contained in the name of each baked good. I swear, at some points I think there were more syllables than ingredients!! lol
All of this just makes me smile. For at the end of the day, regardless of how many syllables there may be in the names of these delightful treats, it just goes to show: we’re all the same.
Churches have bake sales. People enjoy sweets. People come together for a common cause.
It’s a good thing.
